Wadden Sea World Heritage Package

4 days / 3 nights
From January 1st, 2020 onwards daily

Experience the peace and enjoy the everlasting panoramas, sniff the salty smell of the World Heritage site Wadden Sea, that was added to the list in 2009.
Darkness and quietude are the most striking elements you will find in this beautiful landscape. There is a worldwide recognition for the importance of the Wadden Sea for our planet. In this place, the Netherlands seem vast and grand.

The Wadden Sea is located only 400 meters away from the B&B. Therefore you directly enter the World Heritage Wadden Area, bordering National Park Lauwersmeer, of which the B&B’s owner is a certified host. Bed & Breakfast Lytshuis Zilver lies on the outskirts of Paesens-Moddergat, a protected twin town in North East Friesland.
Museum ‘t Fiskershúske, located in four renovated fishing houses of which the oldest dates back to 1794, gives you an idea of how the fishermen lived and worked along the Frisian Wadden coast.

On the other side of ‘t Fiskershúske, on the sea dyke, is a memorial to the 83 victims who died during a storm in 1883.
In the emptiness, at the base of the sea dyke, there is a statue of one of the 61 widows this tragedy left behind in Paesens-Moddergat.
The village never really recovered from this heavy blow.
